All about 2012 - Will you be ready for 2012 - 2012 What will happen

There are many websites already picking up the topic of Solar energy from sun destroying earth in 2012. Many of you say that 2012 - end of the world isnt real. But partially most of us do believe that nature is some way trying to kill people.

Disaster occurs every year but particularly if you notice, then you can see the earthquake rates gone high since the last 2 years. 

Even yesterday there was an earthquake in china (Qinghai province) that measured 7.1 on the RichterScale and killed 618 people. 

I think we should consider such natural disasters to be a small part of 2012 - end of earth. Now lets track the events whenever tragedy strikes. 

Currently i want to list down the recent worst earthquakes:

2010 Haiti earthquake

The 2010 Haiti earthquake was a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 M_w earthquake, with an epicentre near the town of Léogâne, approximately 25 km (16 miles) west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti's capital. The earthquake occurred at 16:53 local time (21:53 UTC) on Tuesday, 12 January 2010. By 24 January, at least 52 aftershocks measuring 4.5 or greater had been recorded. An estimated three million people were affected by the quake; the Haitian Government reported that an estimated 230,000 people had died, 300,000 had been injured and 1,000,000 made homeless. They also estimated that 250,000 residences and 30,000 commercial buildings had collapsed or were severely damaged

2010 Chile earthquake

The 2010 Chilean earthquake occurred off the coast of the Maule Region of Chile on February 27, 2010, at 03:34 local time (06:34 UTC), rating a magnitude of 8.8 on the moment magnitude scale and lasting 90 seconds. It was strongly perceived in six Chilean regions (fromValparaíso in the north to Araucanía in the south), that together make up 80% of the country's population. The cities experiencing the strongest shaking—VIII (Destructive) on the Mercalli intensity scale—were Arauco and Coronel, Chile. The earthquake was felt in the capital Santiago at Mercalli intensity scale VII (Very Strong). Tremors were felt in many Argentine cities, including Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza and La Rioja. Tremors were felt as far north as the city of Ica in southern Peru (approx. 1500 mi./2400 km). The earthquake triggered a tsunamiwhich devastated several coastal towns in south-central Chile and damaged the port at Talcahuano. Tsunami warnings were issued in 53 countries, causing minor damage in the San Diego area of California and in the Tōhoku region of Japan, where damage to the fisheries business was estimated at ¥6.26 billion (USD$66.7 million). The earthquake also generated a blackout that affected 93% of the country's population and which went on for several days in some locations. President Michelle Bachelet declared a "state of catastrophe" and sent military troops to take control of the most affected areas. The latest death toll as of April 7, 2010 is 486 victims (down from 802 reported by the previous administration on March 3).

Seismologists estimate that the earthquake was so powerful that it may have shortened the length of the day by 1.26 microseconds and moved the Earth's figure axis by 8 cm or 2.7 milliarcseconds. Precise GPS measurement indicated the telluric movement moved the entire city of Concepción 3.04 metres (10 ft) to the west. The capital Santiago, experienced a displacement of almost 24 centimetres (10 in) west, and even Buenos Aires, about 1,350 kilometres (840 mi) from Concepción, shifted 3.9 centimetres (1.5 in).

The epicenter of the earthquake was offshore from the Maule Region, approximately 11 km (6.8 miles) southwest of Curanipe and 100 km (71 mi) north-northeast of Chile's second largest city, Concepción. The earthquake also caused seiches to occur in Lake Pontchartrainto the north of New Orleans, United States, located nearly 7,500 kilometres (4,700 mi) from the epicenter of the quake.

China: Qinghai earthquake 2010 

An earthquake measuring 7.1 on the Richter scale has struck Yushu County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province at 7:45am today (14th april 2010). According to the initial estimation from the local government, the earthquake has caused more than 2064 Confirmed death and more than 12,135 injured. Yushu County and its neighboring areas have been affected severely, where 90 percent of the houses in the hard-hit region collapsed, causing numerous people homeless. Since the temperature of the affected area will be about 0℃ at night in the coming days, provision of emergency shelters for the victims remains a high priority.

Why The world will end in 2012

SCIENTIFIC EXPERTS from around the world are predicting that five years from now, all life on Earth could well come to an end. Some are saying it’ll be humans that would set it off. Others believe that a natural phenomenon will be the cause. And the religious folks are saying it’ll be God himself who would press the stop button. The following are some likely arguments as to why the world would end by the year 2012.


Reason one: Mayan calendar

The first to predict 2012 as the end of the world were the Mayans, a bloodthirsty race that were good at two things -- building highly accurate astrological equipment out of stone and sacrificing virgins.

Thousands of years ago they managed to calculate the length of the lunar moon as 329.53020 days, only 34 seconds out. The Mayan calendar predicts that the earth will end on December 21, 2012. Given that they were pretty close to the mark with the lunar cycle, it’s likely they’ve got the end of the world right as well.

Reason two: Sun storms

Solar experts from around the world monitoring the sun have made a startling discovery. Our sun is in a bit of strife. The energy output of the sun is, like most things in nature, cyclic and it’s supposed to be in the middle of a period of relative stability. However, recent solar storms have been bombarding the earth with lot of radiation energy. It’s been knocking out power grids and destroying satellites. This activity is predicted to get worse and calculations suggest it’ll reach its deadly peak sometime in 2012.

Reason three: The atom smasher

Scientists in Europe have been building the world’s largest particle accelerator. Basically, its a 27 km tunnel designed to smash atoms together to find out what makes the universe tick. However, the mega-gadget has caused serious concern, with some scientists suggesting that it’s properly even a bad idea to turn it on in the first place. They’re predicting all manner of deadly results, including mini black holes. So when this machine is fired up for its first serious experiment in 2012, the world could be crushed into a super-dense blob the size of a basketball.

Reason four: The Bible says it

If having scientists warning us about the end of the world isn’t bad enough, religious folks are getting in on the act as well. Interpretations of the Christian Bible reveal that the date for Armageddon, the final battle between good an evil, has been set for 2012. The I Ching, also known as the Chinese Book of Changes, says the same thing, as do various sections of the Hindu teachings.

Reason five: Super volcano

Yellowstone National Park in United States is famous for its thermal springs and old faithful geyser. The reason for this is simple -- it’s sitting on top of the world’s biggest volcano and geological experts are beginning to get nervous sweats. The Yellowstone volcano has a pattern of erupting every 650,000 years or so, and we’re many years overdue for an explosion that will fill the atmosphere with ash, blocking the sun and plunging the earth into a frozen winter that could last up to 15,000 years. The pressure under the Yellowstone is building steadily, and geologists have set 2012 as a likely date for the big bang.

Reason six: The physicists

This one’s case of bog -- simple maths mathematics. Physicists at Berkely University have been crunching the numbers. They’ve determined that the earth is well overdue for a major catastrophic event. Even worse, they’re claiming that their calculations prove that we’re all going to die, very soon. They are also saying that their prediction comes with a certainty of 99 per cent; and 2012 just happens to be the best guess as to when it occurs.

Reason seven: Earth’s magnetic field

We all know the Earth is surrounded by a magnetic field that shields us from most of the sun’s radiation. What you might not know is that the magnetic poles we call North and South have a nasty habit of swapping places every 750,000 years or so -- and right now we’re about 30,000 years overdue. Scientists have noted that the poles are drifting apart roughly 20-30 kms each year, much faster than ever before, which points to a pole-shift being right around the corner. While the pole shift is under way, the magnetic field is disrupted and will eventually disappear, sometimes for up to 100 years. The result is enough UV outdoors to crisp your skin in seconds, killing everything it touches.

Last wish

YOU WAKE up this fine morning to lead the same monotonous life, getting up, then grabbing something to eat and then leaving for your school, college or work stations. But there can come a change in your life on a particular day which might bring a complete change to your monotonous life. You are told that it is your last day on this planet earth and the world is going to come to an end the very next day!
If such a situation takes place in your life then what is going to be your very last wish? I asked this question to people I know and the answers were really simple things that they would like to do on there last day. Like some wanted to be there with their entire families, some wanted to talk to their old friends, some had the simple wish of being together with their old parents. No one had any big wishes even on there last day.

No one said that they wanted to be at a five star hotel and have there last meal in luxury. Neither did anyone say that they wanted to be at Disneyland with there friends on the last day. Everyone had the simplest of wishes, the wish to be there around the people they love and care for and to spend the last day of there life in peace. In stating the wishes, lies the simple yet profound thought that why do we need a special day to fulfill such simple wishes in life? Can’t we fulfill such simple desires in our everyday life? Can’t people find some hours in there busy schedule to spend with their families and friends?

The answer to these questions cannot be answered by anyone but by ourselves. The last wish I would want to be fulfilled if such a situation arises is that "the world does not come to an end" and promise myself that I would try my best to fulfill my small wishes on a regular basis in my day to day life so that I will not have to wait for a last day to fulfill my simple desires.
